An Act Relative to Aggravated Drunk Driving
Read Bill Text Track Bill Movement
This legislation makes two changes to our drunk-driving laws. Since individuals who are highly intoxicated are far more likely to cause a fatal auto accident, his legislation would follow 32 other states in creating an elevated penalty for extreme drunk-driving double the potential penalty for a person who is convicted of drunk-driving and registers a .20 or higher Blood Alcohol Concentration at the time of the offense. The bill also responds to recent cases of individuals maintaining their licenses after nine or more drunk driving convictions by instituting a “three strikes” rule, removing eligibility for hardship appeals for drunk drivers to after three offenses.

Kayaking is deceptively dangerous. This bill would require an individual to wear a life-jacket year round, instead of the current law which requires life jackets only during the colder months. The bill also creates standards for teaching kayak safety
An Act Providing Appropriate Public Safety Protections for Security System User Information
Read Bill Text Track Bill Movement

This legislation would allow for the confidentiality of information on security systems to be private information to be used only by public safety.
