WELCOME

Inspired by new leadership on Capitol Hill there is renewed energy on Beacon Hill to do all we can to help make Massachusetts a stronger state. One of the most impressive aspects of President Obama’s style of governance is his dedication to open and continued communication with Americans. This heightened level of accessibility has invigorated Americans and reminded those of us currently in office how we can harness today’s technologies to keep our constituents informed and engaged in all levels of government. It is with that in mind that I welcome you to senatoroleary.com
I encourage you to browse this website and contact
me with any suggestions or questions. Over the next two years I will be using this website to help constituents keep track of statewide issues as well as local ones. I will post all of my press releases to this site, as well as columns I submit to newspapers; you will also be able to track the progress of local bills I file on behalf of Cape and Islands communities. I am particularly excited to have been appointed Senate Chairman of the Joint Committee on Education for the coming legislative session. I hope to use my background in Higher Education to strengthen the bridge between high school and college, as well as my interest in public health issues to address needed improvements to the health and health education of Massachusetts’ students. Take a look at the “Legislation & Committees” page to learn more about the bills I have filed this session and the other legislative committees I will be working with.
We face a demanding legislative session and I look forward to keeping my constituents informed and hearing their opinions as we move Massachusetts through the trying times ahead.
Very Truly Yours
ROBERT A. O’LEARY
State Senator
Cape & Islands District
